I am fortunate to have been involved in multiple teambuilding exercises with Donna as the facilitator. To say that the results were eye-opening would be an understatement, as the attendees of these facilitated meetings were always left with meaningful actionable items, a renewed sense of value to the organization, and the motivation to implement that which they had learned in the session(s). Donna Karlin was my coach when I was a TED Fellow, at two different intervals. She was by far the best professional coach I've worked with. A great listener, and full of interesting creative solutions to all challenges, whether they were technical or human-based; whether they related to a field she knew well or one that was totally new to her. I felt like she could handle any professional challenge. I had started my own non-profit organization when I was fairly young, and working with her for 10 or 20 sessions was basically my MBA. She got me set up to be a better boss, a better manager, and a more empathetic leader. We still use many of the materials she helped us create, such as organizational policies, core values and others. And all of this great professional advice is delivered to her clients with such a tremendous amount of heart and compassion, because she is a changemaker herself.
